C-ing Is Believing

Life moves fast.  There’s no time for “stuff” to eclipse the radiance of your sunny personality, right? Not even partially.

You need healthy cells and a rock-solid immune system. One simple nutrient can do it all.

We’re talking Ascorbic Acid AKA Vitamin C.

“Oh,” you say, “I’m already taking Vitamin C daily.”

* Why are you taking it?
* How much are you taking?
* Where are you getting it from?
* How well is it absorbed?
* How pure is it?
* How much are you paying for it?

Why We Need Vitamin C

Everyone knows that Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant. Few know what this means in real terms.

The processes of life going on inside a cell produce “waste” products that are often chemically active. These are called ROS (“Reactive Oxygen Species”).  If left unchecked, they can act like metabolic soccer hooligans, causing a lot of damage.

Anti-oxidants like Vitamin C calm the metabolic tensions inside the cell.  Thing is, Vitamin C does this in a self-sacrificial way.  The more ROS, the more Vitamin C you need, since it gets used up faster.

What increases ROS?

There are many reasons for increased ROS:
* Infection
* Inflammation
* Pollution
* Toxin
* Mental stress

In each of these bodily insults, Vitamin C mops up the debris, while being destroyed in the process.  The problem is, the human body cannot make its own Vitamin C, it must come from somewhere outside the body.

How Much Vitamin C Do We Really Need?

The short, true answer is: We don’t know.

Taking the recommended 90 mg a day will prevent scurvy. So, if that’s all you want, you’re possibly covered with that cheap multivitamin.

Most of us face more than scurvy.

Unlike humans, goats can make their own Vitamin C. A healthy male goat produces 13 grams of vitamin C daily. When that goat gets stressed, production jumps to 100 grams a day. That’s grams, not milligrams. About 1,000 times more than the Ridiculous Daily Allowance.

Do goats get gout? Heart disease? No. Even cancers are rare.

If you should take 100 grams of Vitamin C daily, you will get the birth person (previously “mother”) of all runny tummies.  Our guts cannot handle that much acidity.

If one takes a bird’s eye view of the hundreds of studies done on Vitamin C, it appears that a dose of 5 gram daily hits the Goldilocks spot between too little and too much.  However, much of the benefit is already present at doses of 1 gram daily, so we can talk of an optimal range between 1 and 5 grams ingested Vitamin C daily.

Where Do We Get Our Vitamin C From?

Plants are the main dietary source of Vitamin C. Yes, you can also get it out of fresh liver, but that’s a bridge too far for most of us.

Here’s the thing: Vitamin C is water soluble and heat sensitive. So, if you boil your veggies, you lose all that Vitamin C.

Fresh fruit is thus the major dietary source of Vitamin C, but you need to eat lots of it to get close to that magical 90 mg daily. That was quite OK in the low-tox environment of life 2,000 years ago, but it’s not OK in the super toxic 21st century.  We need supplements. #TrueStory

Vitamin C supplements are not created equal, so let’s take a closer look.

How Well Is Vitamin C Absorbed?

Vitamin C comes in many forms and these are absorbed differently. One of the best absorbed is liposomal Vitamin C, but it is usually very expensive, so you cannot take lots of it.

Dissolved Vitamin C is better absorbed than Vitamin C in tablet form. Tablets are not useless, though. They are often preferred because they are easier to fit into a routine.  Taking something is still better than taking nothing

All round, the best way to take your Vitamin C is to dissolve it in your drinking water and to take it during the course of the day. This ensures a steady flow of Vitamin C through your body for most of the day.

How Pure Is Your Vitamin C?

Few people ask where their Vitamin C supplement comes from.  At Integrow Health, we believe that a pure source is important.  Most commercially available Vitamin C is produced from rice. That’s OK, until you realise that this rice is genetically modified. For many, this is not a problem, but we’ve decided to go the extra mile to source non-GMO Vitamin C.

How Much Are You Paying For Your Vitamin C?

If you’re a real human being, your supplement budget is limited. You do not want to waste your hard-earned Runts on something that is not going to get the job done well.

If you choose to dissolve your Vitamin C in your drinking water, liposomal Vitamin C hardly beats the other forms. So, choose the cheapest, cleanest form that will fit your budget and lifestyle.

Dosage is more important, though.  Make sure you take at least 1,000 mg daily.

Our Solution

At Integrow Health, we invested heavily in obtaining pure Non-GMO Vitamin C Powder. Doc Frank then turned this into two products:
* Pure Non-GMO Vitamin C Tablets (500 mg x 180 tablets)
* Pure Non-GMO Vitamin C Powder (300g with 5g spoon)

How does the Vitamin C powder taste?

When diluted in 1 L of water, it barely registers. Maybe a slightly sour note, but that’s it. If you want to reduce the acidity further, add a pinch of bicarbonate of soda to the mix.

The Real Question

The real question is: Can you afford to go without Vitamin C?

Saying “No” to Vitamin C will cost you more in one year’s lost time and productivity than a decade’s worth of Vitamin C supplementation would have cost you.

Can you afford even a 5% eclipse in your health?

The C-hoice is yours.
