The new epidemic

You may have heard of an epidemic sweeping the planet. It’s been coming for a while, but during the past couple of years, it has affected every person on earth, either directly or indirectly. It’s not a virus or a bacteria.

And it is infecting you.

While everyone is suffering from it, not many are able to cure it.

I’m talking Information Overload.

It’s a fact of modern life, right?

Information Overload is the underlying cause of much of the stress we experience daily. It also has a sinister cousin, called FOMO (“fear of missing out”). The more you know, the more worried you are that you don’t know enough.

Information Overload doesn’t affect you in ways you can easily pinpoint. But your body reacts nonetheless. Constant chasing after elusive information leads to anxiety, hypertension, depression and more.

In the next couple of months, I intend to work on sensible ways of dealing with Information Overload. Once I have something presentable, I will let you know.

In the meantime, I have a solution for your Health Information Overload.

Every day, millions (yes, millions) of pages on health related topics get posted to the internet. No one can follow all of that. How do you know what is reliable and what is simply fluff or “click bait”?

There are a few dozen respectable doctors and scientists who follow many of the most credible sources of new health information. But that’s still a lot of information to process every day.

I, in turn, follow these experts on your behalf. I’m passionate about culling only the best from the best.

Every day, I will read anything from ten to forty research papers on natural or alternative ways to improve health.

Every day, at 7h30 in the morning (SA time), I post one (and only one) article on my public Facebook feed. You can get the gist of what it’s about at a glance, or click through and read more about it.

In just 5 seconds a day, you will have grasped the essence of some 250 quality articles during this year. This will help you make much healthier choices for yourself and those you love. For free. And no overload.

It’s the small changes that make the biggest difference over time.

Save yourself the worry of wondering if you’re missing out on important wellness news. Simply friend me here.

Don’t have a Facebook account? Congratulations! That’s a really, really good start to avoiding Information Overload. But if you ever want to read my posts, you simply have to head here to read them. Even without a Facebook account, my posts remain visible to you. It works like a normal blog site.

Simplify at least one part of your life right now.

To your health!
