Day 5: Get rid of pesky acids

Many years ago, I became interested in the medicinal properties of papaya (“pawpaw”) seed. Some solid evidence had emerged for its usefulness in treating various cancers, but I found it had another weird property on the body, too.

What I found was that papaya seed extract increased acid output by the kidneys. Not a little, but a lot. This was important, since the body only really has three major ways to get rid of too much acid: kidneys, lungs and skin. Since sweating and panting in public are not socially acceptable (except if you’re running a marathon), kidneys are the most important way for the body to get rid of excess acids.

Increasing acid excretion without significantly increasing urine output is not “ivory tower” medicine. It has downright practical uses. Let me explain why.

Many, maybe most, of the waste products of life are acids. This is handy, since acids are water soluble. The kidneys grab hold of these acids and pass them into the urine. Easy peesy. But not all acids are equally water soluble. Some, like uric acid, can form crystals inside the body. When these crystals build up in joints, we call it “gout”. But uric acid wreaks havoc wherever it deposits. The joints just happen to be noticeable since they get painful in gout. My medical textbooks taught me that this was sort of the only diseases caused by excess uric acid.

I had to relearn my medicine.

In the years that followed my discovery of the effect of papaya seed, I’ve seen how too much uric acid messes with just about every organ system in the body. In the brain, it causes inflammation, which contributes to many different diseases, such as dementia, depression, even psychosis. Acids such as uric acid trigger the immune system to attack itself, a condition we call auto-immune disease. In blood vessels, uric acid causes inflammation, a major contributor to plaque formation and heart disease.

At the same time I investigated papaya seed, I also looked into the medicinal effects of eucalyptus bark extract. The health effects of pine bark have been extensively studied, but very little work was done on eucalyptus bark. To my surprise, I found that eucalyptus bark was FOUR TIMES more powerful than pine bark extract (“pycnogenol”) when used as an antioxidant. This means, it can stop inflammation and boost the immune system much more effectively than pine bark extracts (while being much more affordable).

In 2012, I combined the power of papaya and eucalyptus bark to produce Zestura. I also added some vitamins to further lift the anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting effects of the two plant compounds. Since then, I’ve used Zestura with good results in the following conditions:

* Gout
* Arthritis
* Cancer
* Malaria prevention (both compounds show strong anti-malarial effects in lab tests)
* Mild dementia
* Heart disease
* Early stage (mild) kidney failure
* Auto-immune diseases such as lupus (SLE) and MS
* Fibromyalgia

Please note that I use Zestura as part of a protocol and rarely on its own.

(Aside: My original target market for Zestura was people visiting the tropics, hence the “tropical immune booster” in the name.)

Today’s special is…

Buy 3 or more bottles of Zestura and get 40% off!

This discount will be automatically applied when you add the extra units to your cart. You do not need a coupon code.

Furthermore, in the interests of improved circulation, we are also offering the nifty little FeetFlex device at R15 instead of R99. But only while stocks last (we have 17 of them left in stock). (Note: The shop keeps track of orders and will prevent you from buying the FeetFlex if we’re out of stock.)

The FeetFlex folds up to a small size, making it easy to pack in your luggage. When travelling long-distance, you fold it out, put it on the floor under your chair, and pedal away quietly, pumping precious blood through your leg muscles.

Or you tuck it under your desk at work (it works best on a carpeted surface).

Or, if a patient is post-surgery or bed-ridden, the FeetFlex can be wedged against the foot end of the bed and used to both exercise the leg muscles and provide blood flow.

When I was still doing “normal medicine”, we referred to the calf muscles as “the second heart”. Keeping the calf muscles moving takes a huge load off the heart. The FeetFlex makes it easy to use the power of the calf muscle to boost blood flow and oxygen to the rest of the body.

It is made of durable plastic, which means it doesn’t break easily. It also means it flies through airport security. No hassle to get it onto your longhaul flight.

I’m working at a standing desk nowadays, so can’t use mine anymore, but when I was still sitting at a desk, I used it all the time. It boosted my focus and attention span noticeably. And, at the end of the work day, I did not feel mentally tired.

Today, for a few hours, available at R15! C’mon… A cup of coffee will cost you more.

Again, no coupon code needed.

Click hereto see both Zestura and FeetFlex on one screen.
