With everyday toxins, environmental burden and nutritional gaps increasing, this supplement gives your body the extra support to stay resilient, absorb nutrients and maintain optimal wellness.
Why Fulvic Acid?
Modern lifestyles expose us to a heavy load of environmental stressors, heavy metals, toxic by-products and microbial challenges. At the same time, many nutrients in our food are less bio-available and cellular uptake is compromised. Fulvic acid addresses both issues: it acts as a natural chelator of heavy metals, supports detoxification pathways and enhances nutrient transport into cells.
In short, if you want a cleaner internal environment, better nutrient use and stronger cellular resilience, fulvic acid delivers a unique solution.

How it works
-
Toxin / heavy metal binding: Fulvic acid has a very high affinity for metal ions and waste metabolites; it connects to urea, heavy metals and other waste products, making them more soluble and easier to eliminate.
-
Enhanced nutrient uptake: Fulvic acid acts as a carrier molecule, improving cell membrane permeability and transporting minerals, trace elements and nutrients deep into the cells, improving nutrient utilisation and cellular functioning.
-
Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect: Fulvic acid scavenges free radicals, regulates oxidative stress pathways and supports immune-cell function, reducing the burden of chronic low-grade inflammation.
-
Cellular regeneration & energy: By improving the internal cellular environment (less toxin burden + better nutrient supply + reduced oxidative stress), the body can regenerate more effectively, support mitochondrial function and support improved energy production.
-
Synergy across forms: The liquid forms (Natural & Buffered) allow rapid absorption of fulvic acid in its pure ionic form which may act more rapidly for detox and binding; the capsule form provides convenience and consistent daily dosing for ongoing support. This synergy means users can choose the format that best fits their lifestyle or combine formats under guidance.

Fulvic Acid Q&A
Fulvic Acid
- What are the different forms of Fulvic Acid offered by Doc Frank, and how does the recommended dosage vary between them?Doc Frank's Fulvic Acid is available in both liquid and capsule forms. The liquid form is typically recommended as 15 ml daily in a glass of water, often taken on an empty stomach. The capsule form is recommended at a dosage of 1 capsule daily for certain indications, such as vascular dementia, where it is suggested to be taken for 12 months.
- What is the origin of Fulvic Acid, and is there evidence of varying sources?Fulvic acid is a naturally occurring organic compound formed by the microbial decomposition of plant and animal matter in soils and humus. Research mentions various forms, including "Carbohydrate-derived fulvic acid" and "Oxifulvic acid," which is derived from controlled wet oxidation of carbon-containing coal, suggesting that the efficacy may vary depending on the source and purification process.
- How does Fulvic Acid enhance the body's absorption and utilization of essential minerals?Fulvic acid acts as a chelator, a molecule that binds to metal ions and other nutrients. This property forms soluble complexes that may enhance the bioavailability and transport of minerals and trace elements across cell membranes, improving their utilization.
- What are the potential "detox symptoms" associated with starting Fulvic Acid, and how should they be managed?Individuals may experience initial detox symptoms, such as heavy joint pain described as gout-like symptoms, which may occur due to a heavy acid build-up in the body. To minimise these symptoms, it is suggested to reduce the frequency of Fulvic Acid intake to every second or third day and increase water intake to 2.5 liters per 24 hours. Symptoms are generally expected to subside after one to two weeks.
- What is the mechanism behind Fulvic Acid's reported ability to bind heavy metals?Fulvic acid's molecular structure, rich in oxygen-containing functional groups like carboxyl and hydroxyl groups, provides high affinity for metal ions. This chelating property allows it to bind to heavy metals (such as Cobalt, Arsenic, Barium, Mercury, or Nickel) and other toxins like urea, forming soluble complexes that may facilitate their elimination.
- Can Fulvic Acid be used for managing black mold exposure?Yes, daily intake of 15 ml of Fulvic Acid in a glass of water has been suggested in protocols related to black mold exposure.
- What scientific evidence supports Fulvic Acid's anti-inflammatory properties?Studies indicate that Fulvic Acid may modulate inflammatory pathways. It has been shown to attenuate homocysteine-induced cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) expression and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) secretion in human monocytes. It has also demonstrated a significant reduction in TNF-α expression in differentiated human monocytes following stimulation.
- Is there any research on Fulvic Acid's effects on energy metabolism and mitochondrial function?Research, particularly concerning fulvic acid found in Shilajit, suggests it may improve mitochondrial efficiency and ATP (cellular energy) output. It is believed to help maintain mitochondrial membrane potential, supporting cellular energy production and reducing fatigue.
- How does Fulvic Acid act as an antioxidant?Fulvic acid possesses free radical scavenging activity, which means it helps neutralise reactive oxygen species (free radicals). This activity contributes to protecting cellular components, including mitochondria, from oxidative damage and may improve systemic redox balance.
- Has Fulvic Acid been studied for its potential role in neurodegenerative diseases?Research on fulvic acid, often in the context of Shilajit, has suggested neuroprotective effects. Studies have indicated that it may inhibit the aggregation of tau oligomers, which are factors implicated in the development of Alzheimer's disease.
- What is the evidence regarding Fulvic Acid’s potential impact on the gut microbiome and intestinal health?Studies suggest that Fulvic Acid may contribute to gut microbiome balance. Research, often in animal models, indicates that it can support beneficial bacteria growth, enhance intestinal barrier function, and possesses antidiarrheal effects possibly due to interactions with the intestinal mucosa.
- Can Fulvic Acid be used topically for skin conditions or wound healing?Yes, research suggests that carbohydrate-derived fulvic acid is a promising topical agent for enhancing the healing of wounds, including those infected with drug-resistant pathogens. Oxifulvic acid applied topically has also shown efficacy in suppressing cutaneous inflammatory responses, comparable to some standard anti-inflammatory agents.
- How is liquid Fulvic Acid suggested for use as an oral rinse to prevent bacterial issues? For oral hygiene, particularly before and after medical procedures, 15 ml of Fulvic Acid should be diluted in 250 ml of water. This solution is used to wash the mouth out, then swallowed. Continued daily use of 15 ml for three additional days is suggested to help prevent bacterial growth.
