Put your Body into Reverse Gear?

I’m sending this email out early for those using their work computers to access email.

Our second special is on a supplement few people have heard of. Yet it is one of the most powerful antioxidants around. At an affordable price. With as good as no side effects.

I’m talking about Alpha-lipoic acid, commonly known as “ALA”. Study after study shows how good ALA is in helping the body heal itself. Whenever I am given the challenge to reverse organ damage in a patient, I add ALA to the script. I’ve seen it do wonders in diseases such as liver damage, kidney failure, lung damage (such as emphysema / COPD), heart failure and brain damage (traumatic brain injury, dementia, Parkinsons). Dosages in these conditions ranger from 1 to 3 250 mg capsules daily, depending on the severity of the disease.

But ALA has some other trick cards up its sleeve, too.

Diabetics often suffer from a painful nerve condition known as “peripheral neuropathy”. It’s caused by damage to the tiny nerve fibres that supply the skin and limbs, where oxygen is less abundant than closer to the heart. That explains the “peripheral” in the name. Many studies have shown the amazing benefit of ALA for this condition. It is the second product on my typical “nerve pain” script, after High Dose Vit D3 (50,000 IU weekly) and just before High Dose Vit B1 (5 x 100 mg daily). Together with these two nutrients, ALA (3 x 250 mg daily) helps the nerves to absorb more glucose and oxygen, while cleaning up excess waste products.

But it’s not just diabetic nerve pain. When I combine ALA (2 x 250mg daily) with High Dose Vit D3 (50,000 IU weekly), Sutherlandia (Cancer Bush) (2 x 500 mg daily) and Zinc (25 mg daily), I find that blood glucose readings in Type 2 diabetics return to near-normal ranges within a month for most of my patients. Some patients require a tweak or two, but this script works for most type 2 diabetics.

But wait, there’s more…

ALA (3 x 250 mg daily) is critical in getting the upper hand in cases of auto-immune diseases. Let me quote a respectable source:
“ALA … not only acts as a powerful antioxidant, but also is able to regulate the immune system in either direct or indirect ways. Studies reviewed above might suggest that ALA is used to treat autoimmune diseases including SLE, RA, and primary vasculitis as well as MS.” (Reference)

And that’s STILL not all. In conjunction with High Dose Vit D3 and Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) (3 x 1 mg daily), I used it as part of my cancer support protocol, with truly amazing results.

Dosage is best before meals, on an empty stomach, but if you take it with food, it will still work, if not quite as well.

My “Doc Frank’s ALA” has a special trick built into the formulation. By adding a dash of black pepper extract, the amount of ALA absorbed after oral dosing is much higher than is otherwise the case. While we were not able to measure the exact increase in absorption (those tests cost more than politicians steal in a year), a review of studies suggests most likely boosts in absorption between 20% and 50%. In other words, one of our 250 mg capsules is probably going to take you as far as two of our competitors’ (much more expensive) 200 mg capsules.
